Karolina Kurkova's Missing Belly Button

According to the model's rep, Kurkova no longer has a belly button due to an abdominal operation as an infant. So what could have been her ailment? According to the Huffington Post, it was likely an umbilical hernia.

"It does look like [she may have had] an umbilical hernia as a child that was either fixed or not fixed, which can distort the belly button," said Dr. Matthew Schulman, a plastic surgeon at Manhattan's Mount Sinai Medical Center, as reported in the Huffington Post.
