Is smelling fabulous the next-best thing to being fabulously rich? Paris Hilton hopes you'll buy that fantasy. This spring, the Hilton hotel chain heiress is releasing Passport, a trio of perfumes inspired by her jet-setting lifestyle. The collection promises to "take the girl next door to exotic locations through the power of fragrance".
A Tale of Three Cities
Each Passport perfume has a distinct personality, reflecting the city that inspired it. Paris is "enchanting and innocently flirty"; South Beach is "blonde and beautiful;" Tokyo is "cool and cute." So what do the perfumes really smell like?
Scents and the City
Paris is a fruity oriental, blending juicy fruits with jasmine and honeysuckle middle notes over a base accord of vanilla, amber, patchouli and white musk.
South Beach is a fruity floral built on notes of nectarine, lotus, white freesia, jasmine, marigold and osmanthus over a warm and woodsy base.
Tokyo is a citrus scent that layers sparkling Italian lemon and crisp Fuji apple with fresh floral tones over a woods-and-musk bottom.
On-Trend with Cute Packaging
Much like Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers collection of perfumes, Passport is obviously hoping to appeal to consumers' enduring love of cute, with its storybook presentation and whimsical, anime-inspired packaging.
Celebs Are Us
The collection is being produced in partnership with Parlux, the celebrity-happy perfume company responsible for Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur and Jessica Simpson's Fancy fragrance line.
