*Coarse Hair

If you have coarse hair, you will know simply by the feel of it. Another problem connected with coarse hair is too much volume. Using a leave in conditioner will help control your tresses.

*An Old Trick

I can remember my Mom using this and I have been using it ever since. All you have to do is mix 1/4 cup vinegar (cider for dark hair and white for light) with 1/2 cup of water...(or there abouts.)Rinse your hair after a shampoo to remove any buildup and give it shine. I use this vinegar trick about half the time and a good conditioner, the other half.

*How Often Should You Shampoo?

I wouldn't recommend every day unless your hair is extremely oily. A good rule of thumb to follow is when it begins to look oily, or your style is looking a little worse for wear. Actually, the oil on your hair is actually healthy.

Styling Products?

By all means use styling products, but beware of build-up. Nothing can take away the bounce and shine faster. Be sure to use a clarifying shampoo once a month or so. That is what it is formulated for.

What Is Molding Wax?

Think of it as a product that is thicker in texture that an gel and with major holding power. It's pretty much the last product you will use after styling your hair. Here's one example of how you can use it. Take some of the wax in your fingers and then draw through a long strand of hair. Wrap around your fingers for a few moments and then gently remove yor finger. A chunky sections should hold the curl separate from the rest of your hair.

*How Does It Smell?

Before you buy your next gel or shampoo, open it and take a sniff. Does it appeal to you? There is one shampoo on the market that smells just like cough medicine. I just can't stand it and the entire bottle would have gone to waste if I hadn't checked first.
