DeflatingThat Spare Tire

Let's get to work...

A lot of men think that because a spare tire is so evident as men age, that it is entirely normal... an age thing. Unfortunately, it is not true and could even be warning you of medical conditions, especially if your waistline is nearing the 40 inch mark. If we can get past that way of thinking, we are on our way. Today I have some tips to make it easier to get rid of that dreaded... spare tire.
    Reduce the junk food. That means salty potato chips are reduced or tossed out and more fruit and vegetables are introduced into your diet.

    Increase the amount of exercise that you are presently managing. I know that work requires a great deal of your time, but squeezing 30 minutes of activity every day is not going to kill you. Actually, it might do the exact opposite.

    If you manage just the previous tips, you have already made a huge start. The fruit and vegetables are much lower in calories and the extra exercise will begin to wear off that spare tire quicker than you might think.

    A scary thought... just an extra hundred calories consumed each day can add up to 10 extra pounds in a year. So that is how the spare tire came to be in the first place.

    Not sure where to start? Think of this as your next project. What do you need to do this week to start you off? Make yourself a list. It could include the foods that you need to buy this week and the best time to work a little exercise into your day. And if 30 minutes all at once seems to difficult to manage, try two 15 minute sessions. That will work as well.
