A Revolutionary Way to Go Without Underpants: Go Commandos Patches
Sunday December 14, 2008
If you loathe panty lines and thong underwear and find yourself contemplating going commando, consider getting yourself some "Go Commandos Patches." I tried them out this weekend with a pair of jeans and I'm hooked. They are absorbent fabric patches that you attach to the inside seam of pants, jeans or tights. They act as a replacement to underwear and leave no panty lines or uncomfortable chafing (the pads are incredibly soft, you hardly notice them at all). The concept reminds me of attaching a pantyliner to the inside of your jeans. But these stay put, whereas a pantyliner won't. They even come in organic cotton. The only downside? The price. At $16 - $18 for a package of 8 you have to consider the investment in something that's not reusable. Me? I think the comfort is worth it, and because of the price, they would make a fabulous gift or stocking stuffer. Check out the Go Commandos site.

Interesting idea, but I think they’d be a very inappropriate gift idea.
Yeah, now that I think about it, they would make a weird stocking stuffer, unless it was your best friend or sister.
Wow. That’s incredibly expensive to throw out. I think I’d rather just actually go commando. I wonder if there are any DIY or homegrown versions out there like on Etsy. Interesting concept, anyway.
Thank you, Julyne, for your completely unsolicited review and testimonial of our COMMANDOS patches! It always feels good to know that COMMANDOS has found another fan just on their own benefits of comfort, protection, and fashion sense. It took awhile for people to get used to paying for designer coffees and bottled waters, so the cost of each patch will actually make more sense when one understands the cost of drycleaning and laundering after each wearing of jeans and pants when you go commando. The hygienic factor is very important when it comes to women’s vaginal health and the COMMANDOS cotton patch absolutely helps to eliminate irritation of rough seams and possible infections when one doesn’t wear a cotton crotch. You’re not alone in your enthusiasm, Julyne, as we have women of all ages and backgrounds from around the country wearing and adopting the COMMANDOS patch habit. As the Commando-in-Chief, I would love to know how you discovered COMMANDOS? Again, we so appreciate your comments and have a very Happy Holiday! Jo
Don’t waste your money. I started going commando several months ago–and –love it. However–I’m thru menopause–so that does make it easier!
I will just keep wearing my thongs, a lot more comfortable.
What a great idea! I can’t stand wearing panties AND tights with dresses in the winter, but after a bad one-size-too-small pair of tights disaster a few weeks ago, I may invest in some Commandos! Sure, I could buy tights that fit properly, but one good chafing and I will never go commando in tights or hose again.
After seeing these, I wonder when feminine protection product manufacturers will start making “specially shaped” maxi pads and panti-liners for ladies who want to “go commando” during that time of the month.
May your 2009 be simply divine!
