The Best of YouTube Videos: How to Do a Smoky Eye

As far as I'm concerned, there is no harder look to achieve than the perfect smoky eye. The first few times I tried it, I looked like I'd been beaten up or somehow survived a long night out without any sleep and too much to drink.

I was thrilled to find out YouTube has a bunch of great beauty videos, so I pulled together my seven favorite "How to Do a Smoky Eye" videos. Most of them are hosted by professional makeup artists, but at least one (by Amy04) is an amateur makeup artist doing the smoky eye on herself. Amy04 takes a whopping 18 minutes to achieve a flawless look, but most of these videos are only 2-4 minutes long. Personally I think video instruction is way better than reading about it, even though I love my step-by-step smoky eye article.

Watch these videos, and I assure you, you'll be able to mimic your own look, perhaps in time for tonight!
