Ellen Pompeo's Pompadour, Eva Goes the Safe Route (Again)

By now you've seen the best and worst dressed looks from this year's Emmys. I decided to feature my least favorite look of the night: Ellen Pompeo's pompadour. I do think she's brave to try something new when everyone these days play it super safe on the red carpet (like Eva Longoria, who always looks the same to me). Here, Ellen looks a bit First Lady-circa-1962-ish. Note how she's wearing cat eye -- a hot eyeliner trend for fall that was ALL OVER the red carpet. perhaps everyone plays it safe because they know people will be blogging and criticizing them the next day? as if it’s a crime not to be a particular persons version of perfect that day.
Ha! I know I’d play it safe. Getting named in the best/worst dressed lists is a necessary (albeit stressful) part of celebrity. Therefore, if someone gave me Ellen’s hair, I’d made them do a do-over! Then again, it’s great publicity to get on the worst-dressed lists….
I love Ellen’s eyeliner, but her hair just makes her look dated and older.
Uh the Rockabilly look isn’t current. lol It’s from the 20’s - 60’s. The point of wearing a pomp is to be noticed and she has been, by you and a billion others.
