Quick Tip: How to Make Eyes Brighter
Wednesday August 1, 2007
I love this tip I got from this month's issue of Lucky Magazine: To make tired, red eyes brighter, makeup artist Paula Dorf applies peach eyeliner to the inner part of the bottom lid. Apparently the peach cancels out the red. While you can get peach eyeliner at the drugstore, Lucky's product recommendations not surprisingly include Dorf's own eyeliner (surprise, surprise!), Paula Dorf Baby Eyes Enhancer.

how do you make your eye color pop out? look brighter?
I have heard there are certain colors of eyeliner and shadow that bring out eye color. I have hazel and want to bring out more of the green. What would you recommend?
If you want the make the green pop, use a eggplant colored eyeliner,
If you have blue eyes, use brown
and if you have brown eyes use pink.
i have hazel greeny eyes.i chose a copper red haircolor and now my eyes are green green….also navy eye pencil will whitten the eye..god luck.
To makes your eyes pop you should use a color on the color wheel opposite your eye color. As katiee said to make green eyes pop you would use orange or purple.
Unfortunately if you have dark circles under your eyes like I do the purple actually brings out the dark circles more than it does my eyes. For that reason I typically use greens and browns although they don’t make my eyes pop.

Almay also has an eye makeup line where the products are labeled and grouped by eye color. I’m not a huge Almay fan but you can always take a look at their color groupings to get an idea of what you should look for.

I have reddish-brown eyes.
I want to make my eyes look like a chocolate brown.
