seeing as how your hair is dark brown it’ll hold the black really REALLY well. especially since your hair is unprocessed. just beware of the intensity of the blackness. but if you’re willing to go that dark, i say go for it.

ive dyed my hair like 20 times since the start of the year its mostly been black dye. but my hair keeps going orange. Like no fully orange but lots of tints of it and it looks like my natural hair colours orange but ive just been trying to cover it up. My natural hair colours brown. Anyone who has never dyed their hair before should go to a professional hair stylist for their first dye job. Sure, it might cost more money than a dye-it-yourself kit. But, if you pay attention to their technique and ask them lots of questions about your specific hairtype (color, maintenance, future processing, etc.), then you will also be paying for an education that you can take home with you for the next time you want to dye your hair with a home kit. and today my friend decided to put a blonde block in it underneath my hair
and its turned Ginger..so i tried to dye over it with a new blonde dye but its gone orange sad.gif
now tomorow my friend is dying it all back brown ..but thing is ive heard ive got to put red in it first..
but by putting the red over the block of hair and then washing that out and doing it all brown..will this work?

For anyone who wants t o make a dramatic change in hair color…. DO NOT do it. Trust me. I had Dark brown hair but like sometimes it would look soo dark that it looked black and other times it looked really light like u could tell it was brown. Anyways, i was tired of having hair that looked like two colors so i wanted to die my hair lighter. I just wanted a medium brown shade something that u could tlel my hair was brown 4 sure. So when i first did that i did it at home. NOT GOOD AT ALL. my hair turned out REALLY orange!! i was soooooo mad!! so next i died it again. NOPEE still light. Then i died it a dark medium brown and it looked better but still had a tint of orange at the top. but it went away after like 1 week. So then i got used to my hair and it looked okay. BUT, as soon as my hair started growing out….. EWWWW, it had dark brown roots at the top with a lighter shade. my roots showed alot!!! So i got it died after like 5 months bc i wanted to give my hair a rest. i asked for my natural color as base and blonde highlights. It turned out great except for the fact that my base color was too light. It still looked good but once my roots started showing i would have to die it again. i havent died my har since, but i’m HOPING to have it go back to its original color bc, dying my hair made my hair REALLY dry and lots of splits ends. trust me if u die ur hair make sure its not to diff from ur original color unless u want ur roots to show or don’t care if ur hair breaks and dies everytime u die it. Wait until u start getting gray hairs, then die it!!! I learned my lesson.

btw jami, i wouldn’t be exactly sure in your case but i’d match it up and get the closest to your natural hair color as possible -or- get a color a tad bit darker because u DID dye it platinum blonde
Guys if you have dark hair and your thinking about going blonde dont do it straight away go lighteer slowly. i tried dying my hair bleach blonde from dark brown and it went an bright bright orange coulor, it was so embarsing you could see me from a mile away. Ive learnt my lesson and now im trying to go lighter slowly by letting my natural coulor come through the only problem is im addicted to hair dye, i cant leave my hair coulor alone & die it atleast every 3 weeeks, my hair is now seriously damaged, + i cant evan touch my scalp its so sore.

Hello, I’ve been wanting/needing to color my hair. I’ve gotten it professionally done in a salon before. The last time I colored it, it was a reddish color. It’s been almost 7 months since I’ve colored it and it looks so bad now. I recently got a hair cut but just couldn’t afford the color at the salon. priscilla–if your hair is a light red right now, a medium brown color should work just fine on it. red fades pretty fast so if you haven’t colored it in 7 months it should be pretty light?

Hey, I am so confused on what will suit me best with hair colour. I started dying my hair allsorts of colours since i was like 9, so i don’t really know what my natural hair colour would be now i’m 16. When i was little my hair colour was dark blonde/light brown, then it got abit darker as i got to about 7. So i think it is naturally medium brown. I have Blue eyes and quite pale skin. My hair a was light brown at the beginning of the year, it was okay and i didn’t have to wear much makeup and suited it but it didn’t do MUCH for me, didn’t make me stand out. So i died it reddy brown and that looked okay but i soon got bored of it, and died it black about 5 months ago. Lots of people complimented me on it and said it suits me, but that’s when i have a little faketan and alot of makeup on. It’s lightened to more of a dark brown now it’s washed out abit, but it’s still quite harsh on my pale skin. I’d like to start wearing foundation more my skin tone rather than darker, as i feel abit fake and i want to be more natural to my own true colour. Paleish skin & Rosy cheeks. I’ve thought of going blonde, as i have never gone fully blonde before. But i like my blue eyes to stand out and i find that my dark hair makes them more noticable. I also have a thing for bold hair, like dark hair or if i was blonde then it would have to be quite bright!

Hi this is to bek…you say you want to go back to blonde from red don’t put blonde straight on to red this will turn the red a pinky colour put a light brown on top of the red first then wait a few days then gradually go back to blonde with bleached highlights but don’t bleach your hair all over this will make your hair dry and it could start to break off. The only other suggestion I have is to have your hair stripped but this too damages your hair and leaves it dull and dry

see if your hairs dyed black and you don’t like it and want it lighter put fairy liquid in it instead of shampoo and cpndition the ends of your hair becuase they get really dry and start to break off instead of buying dark brown dye just wait a week or two and see if you like the shade after that. it’s happent to me once before but my hairdresser just cut the ends of my hair that was breaking off. it made a hell of a diffrence, and in the shower you see how much of the dye is coming out oh also if ANYONE wants to dye their hair black i advise you strongly not to, you will regret it compleatly especially if you have light skin tone.

First, learn how to speak. Second, gingers have hair color like the comedian “Carrot Top” so if you’re strawberry blonde, you’re not a ginger. I have strawberry blonde/brownish hair naturally and I was sick of hearing “ginger” but the older you get, the less people say that, and the more people say you should go back to your natural color. I dyed my hair really blonde but it’s hard to maintain with the roots growing in, but if you’re really uncomfortable with your hair, I’d go blonde. ok.. mu hair is origanaly. DARK BROWN.. but i used i bought this sun-in and it made it alot lighter.. now i wwant to go very light blond.. i am hipsoanic but i look more white then hispanic to say im faired skin. i also have brown eye.. so wat do you think??

My daughter’s hair is long and dark brown. She bleached the top half and now it is white, yellow and orange. She went to the salon to fix the blonde and I can not tell a difference. Would it be ok to color it back to her natural color? Please email me as soon as you can!
