Lip liner

Dont use lip liner! It makes your lips look like they have a border which is not attractive at all and if you mess up it looks funny

hair length on women of age

i was walking in wtc area of ny yesterday and saw two women from behind. each had short necks and were wearing their hair straight across where their neck and shoulders meet. not an attractive look. either shorter hair or longer hair would have eliminated the no-neck look. check yourself out with a hand held mirror. we are in 3-d you know!

lipstick for older women

altho the advice is for lighter lipcolors on older women with thinning lips, i wear a dark burgundy and receive compliments galore especially from the young girls working at sephora. rules are to break. but you must judge for yourself. i am a bit of a trendsetter and not shy to try.

My Top 10

1. Matte lipstick and eyeliner looks better on older women, so avoid frosted shades. 2. Revitalash works great. 3. Whiten teeth, but don't go stupid white with them. 4. Don't dress too young or too old - classic white button down shirt, fun belt or shoes (not both), a great fitting pair of jeans. 5. Lunges, squats, anything to lift the rear. 6. Exfoliate, both chemically and manually. 7. Coffeeberry containing skin cream. 8. Keep your nails short, "old lady" nails are a sure sign of being over 50. 9. Become fascinating by continuing to learn and explore, become an "expert" on something that interests you. 10. Give up swearing.

Almond oil

I squeezed the oil out of 6 Vit E capsules into a 200 ml bottle of pure almond oil. I use this as a moisturizer and its wonderful not just to keep skin supple, but on your face to reduce melasma

Great looking skin

Healthy looking skin rules. Rather then using a primer then a foundation I have a little mix trick. For a healthy summer un made up glow I mix a tiny bit of gel bronzer into a dab of primer then smooth over my face. For the office and day time I use a drop or two liquid foundation mixed into my primer then smooth that onto my skin. I will even use a little of all three for a sunkist less translucent look. You will be suprised how long lasting the look and how disquised your inperfections will be.

65 and up

how about tips for the 65 and up crowd, like what color and brand of lipstick is good, I bought some from Clinique the other day and was disappointed when I got home and saw it in another light. it disappeared on my face. My hint is not wearing hair shaved or real short in the back, does nothing for an older lady.

candy

I use a "put it on/take it off" approach to applying makeup. Excess foundation, blush, and eyeshadow tends to settle into fine lines and can also appear clownish in daylight. For example, after putting on foundation I use a makeup sponge to blot off the excess and blend it naturally so I have no jaw lines and it does not settle into wrinkles. I do the same after applying cream blush. I use powder eyeshadow which can be tricky with fine lines on the eyelids. I like to stay away from cream eyeshadow because I hate touching my eyelids anymore than I have to because it can break down the already thin, delicate skin. But powder shadow can work if you lightly blot off the excess with a sponge. This keeps it from settling into those lines. My eyebrows are sparse so I lightly dust some brow powder on then again take off all excess so it looks completely natural with no hard drawn-in lines. "Putting it on then taking it off" gives you a much more "natural" look - aka "younger"!
