How To Accessorize an Outfit
Quick Tip
An outfit can go from ho-hum to breathtaking in mere minutes... once you get the hang of it and it often relies on the accessories chosen. Lets get started. We are going to start with a little people watching... real and otherwise.
- Window Shopping
For this article I did just that and noticed a green halter top, a pair of black pants, green strappy heels (same color as the halter) and a predominantly white bag in with splashes of ice cream colors. Because of all the green in the outfit, the white bag was the perfect accent. A green bag would have been too much. - Grab a Coffee
Now settle yourself in the food court and do a little people watching. You will see outfits you love and outfits that don't quite cut it. - Catalogues
Another great place to check out fashion possibilities. Pick out an outfit that you like and chances are, you will have some of the items already in your closet. - Add a Purse
Sometimes you can change the entire look of an outfit by simply pairing it with a funky looking purse. - Rule of Thumb
Stick to 2 or 3 colors at a time... at the most. A red and white outfit looks good together. Adding a third color could be tricky if you are only guessing. As with the first entry, begin studying outfits that have been put together by professionals. You will soon look as if you just stepped out of the pages of a magazine.
