Once pinned hair has cooled, Edris unpins the curl and backcombs it from the end of the hair in to the root -- "not from the root out," she says -- to give hair volume. Then hair is pinned back in place. "You want to make hairpins your friends," Edris says. This look was designed to work with Reese's collection, which includes a lot of "operatic necklines," according to Edris. "In this show, the makeup, hair & clothes all work together. You don't want to obstruct the clothes."
