Backstage, the mood is hectic due to the amount of work it takes to create the final look. To get this year's look, Edris takes a portion of hair and curls it around the barrel of a medium-sized curling iron (she actually uses two sizes, one medium, one large). Then she pins each curl to the head to let it cool. She left the front tendrils to the last. They are given special treatment: they are curled and pinned in a swoop to the side.
