So why the haircut anyway? Hathaway was preparing for her upcoming role as Fantine in the film adaptation of Les Miserables.
"I wasn't expecting it to be a big deal. It was my idea to do it, since it was something the character did... [But then] I realized I couldn’t take it back," Hathaway said on Live!.
In fact, she said getting her hair cut was more difficult than the stunts she did in The Dark Knight Rises, which involved "doing back flips out of windows and jumping off buildings."
Well no matter her feelings on her haircut, the world seems to love it. Her new 'do has made quite a scene in the blogosphere and the reviews are quite good.
