How To To Iron Pants
Ironing pants can be easy, or the worse thing you ever attempted. Here are a few steps to make it easy.Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 5 minutes
Here's How:
1. Set the iron to the temperature suited to the pants you are about to iron. A label in the garment should tell you what you need to know.
2. Dampen trousers with a spray bottle. It makes removing wrinkles that much easier.
3. If there is a crease running down the length of trousers from the last time you pressed them, iron it out. Laying the trousers flat on the ironing board should make this easy for you.
4. Once you have pre-ironed the garment, line up the inseams and position on the ironing board, one leg positioned over the other.
5. Flip one leg back and concentrate on the one leg that is left. You will be ironing "in" a crease.
6. Bring back the previous leg and do the same.
7. Lift trousers off the board and turn over, positioning seams as you did originally.
8. Repeat step 5 and step six.
9. Usually at this point, the trousers look pressed and ready to hang. Fold them over a trouser hanger, keeping the pleats matching.
10. If you find this to be one major pain in the neck, send them out to a dry cleaner or buy wrinkle resistant trousers. And to make the chore that much easier, select your favorite cd and listen to music as you iron. Not a big fan of ironing... this is about as good as it gets.
