Usually, you look at the models and their hair and makeup and think, "Yeah, I don't think so." I found the models at Dolce & Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show, however, to be an exception. I simply love the upswept, casual look from this show.
This look is actually a more casual, less fluffy version of the pompadour in slide 1. The key here is to have lots of texture to hair either via waves or hair that's been sprayed with a thickening spray and backcombed just a little bit. Your hair can't be too squeaky clean and smooth or it will slip out of place and fall too close to the head. Texture allows the hair when pulled back to maintain a bit of loft, as seen here on dozens of different models.
You want to pull hair straight back from the crown leaving no part. You can put hair in a chignon, a bun or a ponytail.
