It's summertime and if you are out and about in skirts or dresses, chances are you've suffered from the red rash that can develop on the skin between your legs. This happens when the inside of your thighs sweat and then rub together. The constant rubbing can cause chafing.

You may have tried baby powder, which works only for a short while. Perhaps you've tried the professional bicyclist's trick: Vaseline. But that's really messy. Before you give up on skirts and wear only shorts in the summer (the horror!), I've got a fix for you. Actually, 2 fixes.

  1. Antiperspirant.  To keep your thighs from chafing when you wear a dress or a skirt, simply apply an antiperspirant to the inside of your thighs. You can use roll-ons or sprays. The anti-perspirant keeps your thighs from sweating so chafing won't happen. Keep the anti-perspirant in your purse for really long days in the sun. You may need to re-apply as the day wears on and the product wears off.
  2. Anti-chafe balm. My runner friends swear by anti-chafe balm for any body parts that tend to chafe. I recommend BodyGlide Anti-Chafe Balm for Her. Buy it online.
