| Hair Removal by Electrolysis... The Diary | |
Certain parts of the body do not handle laser as well as other parts according to the technician that I am working with. Although it is rarely discussed, nipple hair is an embarrassing problem for most women. No one likes it, but what is the best way to remove it? After much deliberation, this is the route I chose.
Something a little different this month. I broke out in tiny, incredibly itchy little bumps. Luckily they went away by the next day.
Rather nervous. Don't even want to think about the needle being inserted into the hair follacle. Was led into a small room equipped with a lounge style bed which was quite comfortable... good thing. In the background, music was playing. Lights turned off and a magnifying lamp was positioned over area to worked on. Have to admit, one side hurt a little more than the other. Spent 20 minutes on the initial visit. Was glad when it was over, but the discomfort wasn't something I couldn't handle. Another appointment was made for the following Tuesday. P.S. It is a good idea to wear a blouse and a bra with a closure in front.
Regrowth was a bit more than I might of wished but it seemed finer than it had once been.
This week I was obviously less nervous. I knew what to expect. Entered the room and positioned myself onto the lounge. To my surprise it hurt a little more than last week. The technician said that she had turned up the current. Hopefully it will be successful at killing the hair. Appointment lasted 15 minutes. She said that I was not to use any method of hair removal at all. Applying alcohol should be used to kill any bacteria and no body creams.
Regrowth has slowed down but there is definitely a need to go back.
This week, it really hurt! I had no idea why, but I found myself tensing up throughout the entire procedure. Technician asked about my cycle. Apparently, that makes a big difference. Don't go if you are anywhere close.
I must be tensing up because it is still hurting. I commented on the fact that I am not seeing the results that I had hoped for so perhaps she is upping the voltage.
I'm not going every week now as you can see. It's every two weeks and yes, it is still hurting. Each session takes about 20 minutes and I certainly hope to see results sometime soon.
I will be updating this on a monthly basis from this point on. Stop by in regularly for further updates.
Have to admit, that I'm not seeing a lot of results yet. This is taking a lot longer than I expected.
Okay, I think things are slowing down a little. I'm still visiting every two weeks, but I think that the hairs are weaker and growing in a little more slowly. And yes, it still stings. I hope that there is an end in sight.
