This Month's Beauty Reviews
A little background...

With all of the products on the market, it is so difficult to decide what to try next. Each month, you will find an assortment that have come across my desk. I have tried each of them and will tell you whether or not I think that they work. Then, if you have been looking for such a product, write down the names and tuck it in your purse for easy reference the next time you visit the mall. It makes shopping for your beauty needs... so much easier.

  • Renaissance Beauty
The first product that I tested for this company was called, "Earth Essence", a beauty masque. Applied 1-3 times weekly, this masque will help unclog pores, eliminate excessive oil and blackheads and reduce fine lines. It is made from pure white clay, aloe, vitamin C, Vitamin E, natural Citrus fragrance, menthol, lanolin and jojoba oil. My son (with extremely oily skin, tested this product and gives it a thumbs up. He said that it also cleaned up those little blackheads around his nose. So with that kind of endorsement from my son, I had to try it out too. I have to agree with him. It is a great mask and he didn't mention the fact that your face would feel so soft after the mask was rinsed off.

The second product reviewed for this company was called "Tigress Claws", a nail strengthener and conditioner. With my nails constantly on show, it is really important to me to have pretty nails and I'm happy to say that with just a few applications, I can honestly see a change taking place with my nails. My nails can go bare for days on end without polish as it provides a soft shine. That means that I'm not using polish remover every few days and we know how much this can weaken the nails. The product also penetrates deep into the cuticle and nail, promoting change naturally and is specifically designed to eliminate the need for artificial nail reinforcement products.. Works on all nails, even those with polish already applied. Contains coconut oil, vegetable oil, castor oil, aloe extract, lanolin and as you can imagine, smells great.

  • Balm of Zarahemla Shampoo Bars
Yes, this is a real shampoo and conditioner in a bar form and as I write this review three of the four samples that I have, are sitting on my desk. They smell incredible! These bars are really easy to use. All you have to do is rub some on your hand or directly to your head, work up a rich lather, and then rinse. Your hair is soft and easily managed. If you are tired of bottles taking up space in your bathroom or like me, always curious about something new, check out this company. And if you are worried that you won't get the same amount of lather from a bar? Believe it or not... you get more. *Update... these bars are great to pack in a suitcase. No bottles to contend with.

  • Bare Essentials
Having tons of research to do, I decided to take a book into the bath with me and review this product at the same time. I should have known better. "Lavender Mist Bubble Bath" is supposed to relax you and that's exactly what it did. The book was forgotten and I simply closed my eyes and enjoyed the bubbles. And for all of you who like lots of bubbles, two capfuls gives you plenty.
    • Lavender Mist contains Essential Oils of French Lavender, Orange and Geranium.

  • Dancing Bee Acres
Regina Royal Jelly and Vitamin E Cream
We have all heard of the benefits of Royal Jelly and Vitamin E cream. This product has both. Living in Canada, my skin can use all the help that I can get and I was interested to see if it lived up to it's claim. I tried a little on my hands and was pleasantly surprised at the way this cream made them feel. If they feel this soft after one application, continued use should make them even softer.

Neem Oil Cream: This is an interesting product. The oil comes from a tree that grows best in India and every part of the tree has been used in India for thousands of years. The oil is effective in treating skin lesions and other skin related ailments around the world. It is effective on psoriasis, acne, eczema, itching, warts and fungi such as athletes foot and ringworm. Sounds pretty amazing doesn't it!

Honey Silk Night Cream : This product contains the maximum amount of Royal Jelly possible in a skin cream. It is very rich, very creamy and has a slight scent of almond oil. The ingredients of this night cream also caught my attention. Other than the Royal Jelly, the cream also included bee pollen extract, cocoa butter and honey. Is there any wonder that my face felt so soft after one application?

  • Products of Nature
Products of Nature has this to say..... "We use no artificial colors or fragrances, only pure, natural ingredients that achieve more than just cleaning and moisturizing. They actually help your skin, hair and body to overcome the harmful effects caused by years of exposure to the chemicals found in other applications. Now you have a choice. You can get the type of health and beauty aids you have been looking for. You will see the difference". More importantly, you will feel the difference.

Four in One Moisturizing Cream Reviewed by daughter Britt. She liked this moisturizer for the following reasons!

    • No fragrance.
    • Absorbs well and quickly.
    • Face felt soft and moisturized for a long time.
    • Made skin feel soft and silky smooth.

    Revitalize: Reviewed by husband Gary

    • Fragrance was pleasant.
    • Not a lot of lather.
    • What he liked best about the product was the fact that it really cleaned his hair. That was what he was looking for.

    Skinsation: Reviewed by son Jamie

    • Liked the fresh scent. It wasn't "perfumy."
    • Skin wasn't greasy after using product but wasn't dried out either.
    • Liked the tiny beads that the cleanser contained. Wasn't sure what they did, but liked the feel of his skin afterward.
*I tried this product once to check out these tiny beads that Jamie referred to and while you couldn't see them, you could feel them. Great way to exfoliate those dead skin cells. I liked the fragrance too. Nice fresh scent.

  • Perfume Originals
Have you ever found a fragrance that you enjoy, only to discover that the scent was either too weak or too powerful? That's the idea behind this company. You can mix the essential oil that comes with the kit with a perfume solution (also provided) until you are satisfied with the results. You can blend four ounces of your own signature scent for $5.00 per ounce.
