If stress has been playing too big a part in your life, it is really important to learn and practise positive coping skills. There are lots of books to teach you and they can be very helpful. It is equally important to bring lots of exercise into your daily life. Try going for a walk each day at the very least. If you are concentrating on what you are doing, you won't be thinking about stressful situations in your life. And what may be equally surprising, walking is actually enjoyable.
