Looking Good At Any Age

If you are one of those individuals who's not looking forward to glancing in the mirror... some twenty years down the road, you will be very interested in the book I am about to review. It's called "looking Good at Any Age". Written by Amy E. Newburger M.D., this book covers the causes and solutions to hair problems as we age, explains why creams can't help with those little bags beneath your eyes and when you should say yes to cosmetic surgery. Chapters include:

  • Secrets of the Mirror
  • The Life Cycle of the Skin
  • What to Expect, Decade by Decade
  • The Fountain of Youth Fallacy
  • Stories Told By The Skin
  • Intimations of Illness
  • Emotional Echoes
  • The Art of Camouflage
  • Going Deeper With Your Dermatologist
  • Surgical Solutions
  • Toning Your Natural Bodysuit
  • and more...
What I Especially Liked About This Book

It has an index in the back. That makes it so easy to quickly look things up. There is nothing worse in my opinion that knowing that I have the information somewhere but can't find it. This book makes it easy for you.

My favorite chapter ... "The Life Cycle of the Skin" If you have ever wondered how it works, this chapter explains it all in easy to understand terms. Finish this section of the book and you will have a ton of knowledge at your fingertips. You will also like the chapter about aging by the decade. It explains the changes that you will notice taking place at each milestone and what is even better, you might find that you are a decade behind where you are supposed to be. And a chapter that I found really interesting, is the role that stress plays on your appearance. Be sure to read this chapter twice. And that is just scratching the surface of this book.
