Female Genie

Our neighborhood pub has a night set aside just for Halloween. That means costumes and this time for adults! If you need a costume for a special function, this Genie costume and makeup directions would be perfect.

Costume

• Shiny purple bikini top. If you don't have one, I'm sure you could locate one at a Goodwill store.

• Red "satin" pj bottoms. Attach a length of gold braid/tassels from a sewing shop for that extra bit of pizzazz.

• A sheer scarf to cover the lower half of your face. To keep it in place, sew hair combs to the sides and then slide into your hair behind the ears.

• Lots of gold bangles and a pair of gold dangling earrings.

• Most genies go about barefoot, but a pair of ballet slippers might be a wise choise.

Hair

You could copy the style of the famous genie on tv and pull your hair up into a very high ponytail, or you could leave it long and swinging. Actually, you could work a little glitter gel into whatever length of hair you have for that magical touch.
