Computer "Beauty" Tips!!

Have you ever counted the hours that you spend in front of a computer? It never occurred to me that it could be bad for your health until it was pointed out to me! So, forewarned, I'm taking the necessary steps to protect myself and now I'm going to share the findings with you! Ginny Grein will be joining us each month over the next year to help us with this new concern! Enjoy!

Computer Beauty Tips

Hi. Hope things have been going well for you. This month Dr. Don would like to add some tips regarding eye strain. He says "make big circles with your eyes slowly in one direction and then the next. Do this five times each way. Look up, down, left, and right.

This next exercise is specifically for helping the eye muscles relax. As you focus on the computer screen, the iris contracts and over time it stays contracted. One has to help the iris unlearn this bad behavior. So here we go. Look at your screen and then look above your screen as far as possible. Hold the far gaze for five seconds. Then return your gaze to your screen. This should be done at the very least every thirty minutes. Keep working at this and it will relieve eye strain."
