Do you know when Chanel No. 5 first came onto the market?
Laura

Hi Laura,
This particular scent came onto the scene in 1921 and formulated by a Russian perfumer named Earnest Beaux. There are lots of stories about the origin of this scent but one goes like this. Beaux came up came up with five different scents and as Chanel was in the midst of a horrible headache, instructed him to leave the bottles on the mantel. Minutes after he left, she sprang from the sofa and began sniffing the contents of the bottles. It seems that the fifth bottle caught her attention and bottle number five was chosen. Five was also her lucky number. True or not? No one really knows.

HI, IM GOING TO A RELIGIOUS CAMP NEXT WEEK AND IM LOOKING FOR SOME QUICK MAKEUP AND HAIR IDEAS (MY HAIR IS JUST BARELY PAST MY EARS)
Ash

Hi Ash, Sounds like the perfect time just to relax. Try the five minute makeup routine that is in my How-To section of the site. You really don't need more than that. As for your hair, try a gel or a mousse just to give it shape every day. Camp is not the time for anything formal... messy hair is very popular right now. Have fun.

Where can I find the discontinued Revlon nail polish shades of: 'Jungle Fever' & 'Cocoa Bean'? I've already searched the following websites: revlon, walgreens, the drugstore & another cosmetic attachment.
Monica

Hi Monica,
Cosmetic companies are known for changing the names of their products. Take the old bottle with you to the store and check out the colors that are being sold now. You will very likely find the color under a new name. For that matter, check other cosmetic lines as well. They might be offering a color that is very similiar to what you once used. :)
