Can anyone wear short hair? I have had long hair for what seems like forever and I'm considering a change. Sandy
As a matter of fact, no, everyone CAN'T wear short hair. I would suggest slowly going shorter, maybe a few inches to start and see how you like it. But don't go from long to short in one go.
I have a layered all around look and my hair comes an inch off my shoulders. Ever since I got it cut this way, I have no clue how to make it sexy and styled good. Do you have any cool updos or trendy looks that could help me.
Ashley
You have to learn to play with your hair. There are so many different things you can do with shoulder length hair. Try some of the easy styles that are on this site.
I am currently growing out bleached blonde curls and am visiting a new stylist in two weeks. My roots are approaching two inches and I'd like to get a new short spring crop, and have the ends toned. My face is oval shaped and I have medium/large curls. I have no styles picked out and would love any suggestions! Michelle
You are lucky in the fact that you have the perfect face shape. You could go as short as the style that Halle Berry is wearing, or you could go a little longer and use curling gel to scrunch your curls. That makes for a very easy summer. What you don't want is a style that is fussy. Get your hair cut so that it makes the most of the curl or lack of it. That way, you can basically shampoo, coax the curl or smooth it back and you are done. We want easy!!
My hair is long(6 inches past my shoulders), I have a long face shape. My hair is dark and natuarally curly, but I perm it because there is one uncurly section...I need somthing new and different, I am up for anything, even a short cut. Please help me with some ideas!!!! Ashley
With a long face, you need width. The fact that you have a long face kind of worries me. It can be made look even longer if you don't put some curl into your style. I am thinking of volume here. Not long straight strands for you.
I have kind of long hair, and it is a little past my shoulder blades. What would look good? Vanessa
Where do I begin. To even give you some suggestions, I would have to know your face shape, whether your hair is straight or curly, thick or thin. My best advice is to determine all of these and then go to Shirley's site for some examples for you to try. Learn to play with your hair. Everyone should have more than one style.
I wan't to know how to get rid of thick and annoying hair and how to get and learn wonderful and great hair styles please answer my question. Cassie
Hi Cassie, I don't think that anyone likes their hair and yours is a common question. I don't know what the annoying part is, but I can help with the thick part. Try having your hair layered. You won't believe how much lighter it will feel, and you will get lots of natural movement in a head of hair that simply hung there. If you have natural curl, its even better.
What kind of perm would I get if I wanted it to look scrunched with loose curls? Talisa
Personally I don't care for perms. They can damage your hair when it really isn't necessary. Have your hair cut into layers before you do anything else. You just might find that you have plenty of curl that you didn't even know was there. I have seen women with long, what seemed like straight hair, suddenly bounce with curls when some of the weight is removed. Try this first.
