How To Choose Sunglasses
Sunglasses have to make a fashion statement AND offer adequate eye protection. Is it any wonder that it can take hours? To make it just a little easier, I have come up with some simple to follow tips that should eliminate the guess work.Difficulty: N/A
Time Required: N/A
Here's How:
1. Be sure to choose sunglasses that offer complete UVA and UVB protection. There should be a sticker right on the lense.
2. Look for visor holders that allow you to slip your sunglasses into the holder for protection when not in use.
3. If you play sports, be sure to choose a pair that is light weight and shatterproof.
4. If you wear glasses, your optometrist can offer magnetic or clip on sunglasses that will give you sun protection and still allow you to drive.
5. It's just as important to wear sunglasses in the winter as in the summer. Winter glare from the snow can be damaging to the eyes.
6. Can't find sunglasses to fit? Check out the children's department. My 20 year old daughter has found some very slylish pairs much to her surprise.
7. Take someone with you to help decide on the perfect shape.
8. There are UV devices on the market that will test your sunglasses to ensure that they have been labeled correctly.
