How To Straight Talk About Cellulite

Here is the latest data from several experts on the subject. You might notice that they don't always agree with each other.

Difficulty: N/A

Time Required: N/A

Here's How:

1.   Avoid salt. It's hard, but salt causes you to retain water which makes the cellulite look even worse. Source: Naturally Healthy Skin by Stephanie Tourles

2.   Fatty foods are another area to avoid. For that matter, anything fatty is not going to help your cellulite problem. Source: Fifty and Fabulous by Zia Wesley Hosford.

3.   Cellulite creams can be incredibly expensive, but it's not the costly cream that is making the difference. It's the massaging action that is making the difference. Source: Beauty by Rona Berg.

4.   Don't expect miracles too soon. Allow 4 to 6 weeks of diet and exercise and then check your cellulite. You should see a big difference, but rarely will 100% disappear. Source: Feel Fabulous Forever by Josephine Fairley and Sarah Stacey.

5.   Avoid "over" massaging your thighs in hopes of breaking up the fat deposits faster. It could very well backfire on you, by breaking tiny capillaries. Source:Organic Beauty by Josephine Fairley

6.   Gale Hayman, author of "How Do I Look", doesn't believe that simple exercise will help. It will tone, but she suggests that massaging as hard as you are able, and going over the area with a loofah is the way to go. (See tip 1)

Tips:

  1. Gayle Hayman also likes to massage the area with a horsehair loofah glove to stimulate circulation.
