How To Be a Beach Goddess

It's almost time to hit the beach and you are going to want to look your best. Here are some easy tips to prevent summer sunburns. Remember every burn you get this summer, will contribute to leathery skin in the future.

Difficulty: N/A

Time Required: N/A

Here's How:

1.   Spread on a nice layer of sunscreen over your exposed areas of skin. Most people don't use nearly enough.

2.   Don't forget the backs of your hands and feet. Ear lobes are often forgotten as well.

3.   Wait for at least 20 minutes before going outside.

4.   Your face is going to require sunscreen of at least 30 and be sure not to scrimp on how much you use. If you suffer from blemishes, look for an oil free formulation.

5.   Look for lipbalms that also offer protection from the sun. Yes, your lips can burn too.

6.   Go easy on the makeup. The beach is one place where you don't want to overdo it.

7.   Don't forget your hair. There are sprays that also contain SPF protection. Check the ends, if they seem dry, add more. Who needs dried out hair on show all summer long?

Tips:

  1. UVA rays are the aging rays... who wants wrinkles in 20 years?
  2. UVB are the burning rays... those are the ones that cause cancer. Enough said.
