Today's Beauty Tips For Your Hair

  • If you aren't happy with the look of your style after applying hairspray, you might even want to try this. I saw my hair stylist do it and there was absolutely no hard film. He sprayed the air and then waved his hand around so that only a fine mist settled on my hair. It makes sense when you think about it. One shot from the sprayer could hit one area making that seem brittle. And if you are anything like me, you spray several spots so that you cover all of your hair. Big mistake.

  • Use your blow dryer and a natural bristle brush to evenly distribute scalp oils. This will accentuate your hair's lustre.

  • If you need a quick reason to go and hit the gym, here's one for you. Exercise is a quick way to work on that shiny hair. But it can only help... if your hair is in bad condition, a few sit ups isn't going to cut it. But it is definitely one way.

  • Six weeks is about the right length of time to go between trims. This is true of all hair lengths, but is is even more true of short styles that lose their shape if you don't stay on top of them.

  • When you have your hair cut, be sure to ask the stylist show you at least two different styles that will work for your hair type. There is no point re-inventing the wheel, if the stylist can show you in a matter of minutes.
