Our lifestyles have become far to stressful and learning how to meditate just might be what it takes to slow it down. I can't tell you how beneficial this is. How do I know? It is how I start my morning.Directions
1. Find a comfortable place to sit. I stress "comfortable" so feel free to choose whatever appeals to you. If you like the idea of sitting against a tree, go for it. If a lawn chair is more appealing, that's okay too. It is important to sit as straight as possible however.
2. Close your eyes and relax.
3. Take slow, deep breaths and listen to the sounds all around you.
4. Try to maintain this simple form of meditating for 5 minutes and then add a minute or two each time you meditate.
5. Don't look for instant results. With meditation, it is the worst thing you can do. This is a long time project that will slowly bring about results. You simply have to let them happen in their own time frame.
