How To Buy Just What You Need

Are your spending habits for beauty out of control?

It is so easy to want to buy every magazine and try out every new cosmetic that hits the shelf. But, you have to set a limit somewhere! Here are some ideas.

Go to the library and pour over the endless number of beauty magazines that are available. Choose your favorites and write them down on a piece of paper.

Subscribe to those magazines so that you are not tempted when you go shopping. You DON'T BUY MAGAZINES AT THE MALL ANY LONGER!

Check the expiry dates on your cosmetics. How many are ready to be tossed. You are keeping track aren't you? We don't want infections from old makeup. Now toss them.

Make a list of what replacements you need. Now go over the list and ask yourself if you really, really need them.

Go to the magazines that you subscribe to and check out all the new products coming out this month. Allow yourself to choose one or two.

Write down your choices on a piece of paper and slip it into your purse. When you arrive at the mall, you already know what you need thanks to the list.

Check your credit card bill at the end of the month. You will be amazed at how much you are saving by using this method. Trust me, I learned the hard way!

Tips:

You don't need 15 lipsticks and 5 different shades of mascara. Believe it or not! Choose wisely. Makeup costs a lot of money these days. If you like the expensive lines, the department stores have great promos that go on repeatedly. Take advantage of them.
