Running Out Of Time

I know that all of your attention is on your hair at the moment, and these hair accessories certainly caught my eye, but Gretchen Maurer has some tips for you that just might have been forgotten in the rush. Here is what she has to say.

If you don't plan your prom event ahead of time, expect to be rushed, temperamental, sensitive, forgetful and moody. These are not the accessories you want for your special day, so plan ahead!

  • Don't crash diet! You will focus too much on it and will leave you feeling too weak. Give yourself a month of extra exercising and cutting back on junk food so that you'll feel comfortable in your dress.

  • Don't wait too long to get your gown; the selection will be poor. Also don't get it too early, you may second-guess your choice.

  • Set aside a day to accessories shop after you have your dress---shoes, bra, hose, jewelry, purse, body lotion, make-up, perfume, nail polish, hair accessories.
