My Many Moods
Is it all in your head? Why have I suddenly lost interest in sex, why am I gaining weight, why am I ready for bed at 9 pm? Why am I not happy any more? Does any of this sound familiar? If so, here could be some of the reasons and some ways to bring back that old you...A lot of research has gone into this topic and here's what has been found.
Women are spending far too much time indoors. This happens to be true for me as well, but on days when I do a little gardening, go for a walk, I feel a little better. Believe it or not, it is thought that a little sun shine could be the reason for the mood boost.
On another note, while you are soaking up that sunshine, you are also getting a little exercise. I know from experience, that sitting in a chair all day writing articles, may keep my mind active, but it isn't burning very many calories. That could have something to do with the weight gain. Makes sense don't you think. **Be sure to slather on lots of sunblock while soaking up that sunshine.
Some women also find that starting a vitamin regimen can be the answer. Personally, I prefer to work more healthier foods into my diet. For some reason I am hungrier at lunch than at dinner time, so this is were I pack the majority of my calories. And, a lot of these calories consist of high fibre foods and lots of fruits and vegetables. When I am finished lunch, I'm not hungry before 6 p.m. That means I'm not tempted to grab an ice cream bar mid-afternoon.
I came across an article a few years ago that mentioned how beneficial music is to your health and there is definitely something to it. I find that my moods are lighter if I listen to music every day. It seems like such a little thing, but I have a cd player in my bedroom, along with an assortment of quiet music. Don't ask me why it works, but it truly does.
Research is now looking for ways to use music in hospitals to relax patients.
