Favourite hair product: Redken Anti-Snap. It's a good product to use to protect your hair when blowdrying. It doesn't leave any yucky build up in your hair, and it was my lifesaver a while back. When I had really blonde hair my hair was getting sooo damaged, and that helped a great deal from breakage.

Best hair care tip: One of my best friends is a hair dresser. I once asked her how hairdresser always make hair so silky and smooth. She said the secret is making sure all product is washed out. Apparently, it's all in the washing! So many people just give their hair a quick rinse but if you want silky locks give your hair a good rinse. After I wash my hair I give my hair a final rinse under the tap with cold water (hot can be damaging) for at least 2 minutes. I live by this and it has made a huge difference.

Hair horror stories: I once went to a hairdresser I had never been to and asked to get my hair layered and coloured. I walked out of their with what's known as "steps" (think an eqyptian), and bright orange hair. I cried for days. The worst thing was that I had to get my license renewed the next day. I have to live with that photo for the next five years!

Hairstyle changes: I took a big leap into the unknown when I took the blonde out of my hair. I hadn't seen my natural colour for so long! I also cut it from very long to very short. That was shock enough and I am still recovering... I am presently trying to grow it again! It seems for your whole life you are trying to make your hair perfect and it's a never ending task!This sleek and simple updo is an easy style that will look great wherever you spend your day.
