Latina Beauty
A Book Review
Latina Beauty, written by the editors of Latina Magazine and Belen Aranda-Alavardo, is the first ever comprehensive beauty guide for the U.S. Hispanic woman and Belen Aranda-Alvarado has spent more than four years researching this topic. The book is packed with information on beauty from head to toe and although written with the Latina in mind, everyone can benefit from this gorgeous hardcover book.
"The thing I like most about myself is my brain, my best assets are my heart and my ability to listen and love. " - Daisy Fuentes, Latina Beauty
Topics covered range from makeup and skin care, to hair and scent, and each section is thoroughly covered. But the section devoted strictly to baths as a healing tool, caught my eye. You will find complete instructions on how to create both a "Relaxing Bath and a Love Bath". Both are prepared with much thought given to the tiniest details. After reading this section, you may never look at bathing in quite the same way.
As I said earlier, every woman can benefit from this book, but if you are a Latin Beauty, you are in for a treat.. You will find ways to recreate the makeup and hairstyles of Daisy Fuentes, Salma Hayek, Skakira and Jennifer Lopez. A nice added touch is the section on knowing when to splurge and how to spot bargains. Finally, we have the green light to "buy" without feeling guilty.
