Q. How do I apply as a hairstylist on a cruise ship?

A.

Experience is very important for this job, so my best advice would be to work at the most reputable salon you can find. Learn everything you can and then after a few years, apply directly to the cruise line. That is where all the hiring takes place.

Things To Think About...

*Be sure that you can handle the rolling of the seas... yes, stylists do get seasick.

*A great personality is a must.

* Be prepared to be away from home on special occasions. It's the downside of this career.

**Just in case you are wondering, send your resume to the cruiselines. All hiring is done at that location.
