Your hair is too heavy. So heavy in fact, it simply hangs there. The weight allow for no movement at all. Go to a salon and have it thinned. Yes, they still do that and you will be amazed at how much of a difference it can make.
By all means use styling products, but beware of build-up. Nothing can take away the bounce and shine faster. Be sure to use a clarifying shampoo once a month or so. That is what it is formulated for.
I know that this hurts, but long hair has to be trimmed to stay healthy looking. Doing so every six weeks, ensures that split ends won't travel up the hair shaft. Hair that is in bad condition, looks it.
If you have long hair, you might want to consider having layers added to your length. Layers add volume and that means no lank looking tresses.
