I'm a Fashion Disaster

Is there an easy way?

You are back in school and you have messed up badly. You thought that your clothes were fashionable and then you realized just how far off the mark you were. Here's a little advice for pulling together a few new outfits... painlessly.

Here is one quick and easy way to see what is fashionable in your area. Go window shopping. It might sound too easy, but that is where merchants put their best sellers... in their windows. And if the prices are too high for your budget, take notes and then find less expensive versions.

Subscribe to fashion magazines. Clip photos of outfits that you like and take them with you to the mall. Designer dud look-a-likes can easily be found in department stores. You simply have to know what you are looking for. For example... I once spotted a simple cream colored jacket in a magazine with a price tag of $1000 plus. The outfit looked incredible, but I'm not spending that much on one piece when I can find something similar for lots less.

Consider the outfit you have received the most compliments and take another look at it. What is it about that combination that looked so incredible. Now duplicate it!

Accessorize your favorite outfit in a new way.

Go fashion shopping with a friend that will tell you the truth.
