Go For The Smoke

Quick Tip

Mascaras Then and Now

Once upon a time colored mascaras were rather garish. Luckily, you don't have to stay away from them any longer. The colors now are much more subtle and instead of competing with your eye color, they enhance it. Keep your eyes open for blues, greens and purples. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Eyes That Smoke

Smoky eyes need subtle definition, not a harsh line. Apply your liner and then apply the same color (using a shadow) over the line. The second application will soften the line giving your the smoky look that is so popular at the moment.

Velvet Shadows To The Rescue

If you a smoky look, but with no shine, look for velvety cream shadows. Both Urban Decay and Christian Dior offer creams in this texture, but I'm sure that there are plenty more. Go to your closest makeup counter and ask. You will be amazed what these sales people know!
