How To Avoid Problems When Having Brows Waxed
You might think that you are in capable hands the minute you step into a salon to have your brows waxed. That is not always the case.Difficulty: N/A
Time Required: N/A
Here's How:
1. MAKE SURE that the technician knows what they are doing. Lots of mistakes have been made. Believe it or not, as soon as people know that I write about beauty for a living, this if often the first thing they tell me.
2. There can be side effects such as red bumps or breakouts. In most cases, they will subside.
3. Don't let the technician apply heavy creams to the freshly waxed area if you are prone to breakouts.
4. Avoid the use of any AHA products for at least a week before having brows done. Along with the hair, you will also be ripping off a fresh layer of skin cells. It's best that you let some dead ones accumulate.
5. If you experience intense irritation, it could be due to the removal of the top layer of skin along with the hairs that I spoke of in step four. Waxing is simply something that you might think about avoiding. There are lots of other methods to consider.
Tips:
- If you have very sensitive skin, you should be very cautious about waxing any part of your face.
- Not sure what your brows should look like? A good technician should be able to help you. Have them waxed and then all you have to do is tidy them up whenever you spot a stray hair.
