Your Skin and Junk Food

Is there a link?

For years now, I have been reading that what you eat doesn't affect your skin whatsoever. All I could do was shake my head in dismay because I knew that it wasn't true. Is there a link? You bet there is!

I watched my son work his way through his teen years and like all teenagers, he loved his fair share of junk food. Unfortunately, when he indulged, we noticed that his skin would suddenly break out.

We decided to test our theory and for a month, he agreed to stay away from anything that did not offer some nutritional value. He wanted so badly to prove my theory wrong, but it did just the opposite. His face cleared up significantly. His skin wasn't perfect, granted, but the acne was noticeably lessened.

Try it yourself for a month or so and see if you don't notice some changes. Not only will you be healthier, your waistline won't suffer.

*Update... guess what is suddenly appearing in all the skincare books and magazine articles. You guessed it. Experts are noticing the link!

Here's to great skin and a healthier body.
