Project: Christmas Dazzle
There will be nights this holiday season when other women will notice just about everything about you. You know what I'm talking about... those company Christmas parties that we attend with our significant others. I know I certainly notice things about the other women sitting around our table. Don't for a minute think that they won't notice those ragged cuticles or messy nail polish jobs... because they will!
Brows
Have them done professionally. Treat yourself or start working on them a little at a time... about a month or two before the season arrives.
Facial
Book yourself a facial. You have no idea how relaxing they are and since this time of year is one of the most stressful, do yourself a favor. All that stress is showing on your face. Be sure not to book your appointment too close to the night of your party. I would say, about a week before, and then force yourself to have a stressfree week.
Mask
The night before the party, use your favorite drugstore mask. Put your feet up and think Christmasy thoughts. A half hour later you will look so rested and feel like you did when you hadn't a care in the world.
Nails
A month before the parties begin, begin spending some time each night slathering on hand lotion. That will do wonders for weary hands that work too hard or type too much. Stop right now and rub your hands gently together... how do they feel? How do your nails look? When was the last time they were shaped? Take a few minutes each day to pamper them.
Your Dress
Are you wearing something new? It is not always necessary when there are so many ways to accessorize dresses. Consider how many ways you can take one little black dress and completely change it with a change of shoes and accessories.
Consider what is in someone else's closet. Luckily my daughter is catching up to me in our fashion and fragrance preferences... and I actually have my eye on a dress that belongs to her. Luckily for both of us, she likes my taste in fashion as well. Great way to stretch your wardrobe at no additional cost.
