Cellulite Fitness
Quick Tip
Have you tried every cellulite cream on the market, but nothing seems to be working? Perhaps this is a method to consider. I recently interviewed Kim Overton and she thinks she has the perfect way to rid the body of cellulite. Here's what she had to say.
What made you decide to open this fitness class for cellulite
reduction?
I started the technique on my own body about 10 years ago, and have
always felt I had the "key" for keeping legs toned and firm. So when I
became a personal trainer, it was one of the first things I wanted to
share with my female clients. In addition, I see so many cellulite
"tricks" on the market, when this one isn't a trick, but practical
handling of it.
What is your background in fitness?
My background is in dance. I performed and taught class for years. I
became a personal trainer 2 years ago and recently a certified Pilates
instructor.
What is your age group of your students?
Women in the class tend to be mid-20s to mid-30s, but all ages are
welcome. The younger the cellulite, the easier it is to reduce. The
technique is also a preventative, so often caters to younger women who
are looking to curve the onset as much as possible.
How long is each class?
Each class is 1 hour. This is broken up into 3 parts, part
strengthening, part stretching and part direct manipulating of the
cellulite. Each person works on their own body.
Describe some of the exercises the class is taught.
We begin the class with power exercises that work the glute and legs
muscles. They vary per class, but can include a combo of lunges,
jumping squats, walking lateral squats, bridges, chases, etc.
How many weeks or months before a student notices a change?
On average it takes 10-12 sessions for students to begin to see a
noticeable difference. This is, however, in combination with their
current training regime, a healthy eating habit and consistency in
applying the technique.
Where are you located and do you have a website?
