Country Chic Makeup

Quick Tip

This look would be great for a tree trimming party or perhaps that service club Christmas party.

Moisturizer: Moisturizer prepares the face for the foundation to come. I have tried applying foundation without, and there is certainly a difference. If you plan to use foundation, don't avoid this step.

Foundation: None unless you need it and then just in those particular places. We are simply trying to even out skin bones, but the look we are after is natural, but gorgeous skin all the same.

Blush: Choose a cream blush that can be patted on. You are looking for that natural glow. I would suggest a stong pink or peach.

Brow Powder: While this isn't really necessary, I would still take the time to make my brows look a little fuller and a little darker. The call is yours.

Eye Shadow: Pale peach or pink that will most closely match your natural skin tones, topped with a luminous cream shadow that is colorless. Nars offers a nice shadow duo, perfect for a "nude eye", but ask at your favorite drugstore or cosmetic counter is Nars is not available in your area.

Liner Just a tracing along the upperlash line. Nothing on the bottom lashes.

Mascara: Black or brown on the upper lashes only.

Lipstick: Nothing heavy should detract from your fresh face and this goes for your lipstick. Look for a sheer pinky-red, orangey red or true red to compliment your look.
