Jamie... I Want Shine

from Jamie

A Note from Jamie...

Presently, I am a stylist with Fiorio Salons, one of 6 salons in the Greater Toronto area. With 25 years of dedication, persistence and skilled expertise, our salons have become a Toronto institution. If you are in the Toronto area, be sure to stop by the Square One salon in Mississauga and say hello.

And now down to business...

I receive tons of mail from readers and they constantly want to know why their hair doesn't have a healthy shine. Here's some ways to bring back the fresh "little girl shine" look to your hair.

*Bringing Back the Shine

Here is an easy one. Rinse with cold water. It seals the cuticles and allows light to be reflected. That causes shine.

*Enhancing the Shine

Look for products that are formulated with oils that aren't going to weigh down your hair or attract dust. What you don't need are formulations containing wax.

*Summer Hair And Shine

The sun is hard on your hair, and if you want it to look healthy and shiny, be sure treat it to an intensive conditioning treatment about once a week throughout the summer months.

*Let Your Brush Add Shine

Use your blow dryer and a natural bristle brush to evenly distribute scalp oils. This will accentuate your hair's lustre.
