Nails in the 1920s

Beauty History

During this decade, nails progressed from snowy white nail tips in the early twenties, to crimson colored nails as the 30's approached. The most unusual technique that I could find were referred to as Paris Nails. They were deep pink at the edges with a paler pink in the center of each nail.

Unfortunately, varnishes had little staying power, in spite of all the gorgeous colors that were appearing on the shop shelves.
