I'm a firm believer that one should wax their bikini line, not shave it, because waxing the area works so much better. You don't have to bother with nicks, missed spots, itchiness and hair that starts growing back immediately. I suggest getting waxed a day or two before you hit the beach or the bedroom to give time for any redness that may occur to subside. Also, be sure to pop a couple Ibuprofen an hour before you hit the table -- you'll find it numbs the pain a bit.
So what kind of waxing should you do? Depends on how much you want off. A basic bikini will clean up the area just inside the panty line. You can build on the basic by asking for more hair off in certain areas. If you want all hair removed except the landing strip, splurge for the Brazilian. Want it all off? Ask for a Hollywood waxing. You will be as hairless as the day you were born.
For Valentine's Day fun, you can even designs waxed into your pubic area (I'm not kidding, check out your options).
As for the rest of you, when it comes to brows, I prefer threading them to waxing. And I tried laser hair removal because I couldn't stand shaving and waxing my legs anymore (waxing is just brutal on the legs). Find out what's the best hair removal method, how much each one costs and the pros and cons of each in this hair removal 101 article.
