I love this quote from makeup artist and "What Not to Wear" TV host Carmindy that I found in O, the Oprah Magazine:
"I was an insecure teenager: overweight, braces, freckles. My grandmother Jean pulled me aside one day and said, 'You only have one life--don't waste it worrying over what you don't like about yourself. Celebrate what you have that is beautiful.' Every time I get down on myself, her words come flooding back to me, crystal clear."
Grandma Jean's advice is a nice reminder to us to be nice to ourselves, forgive ourselves and learn to love ourselves.

I think Carmindy is so amazing! I not only have all her books but I follow her blog “Positively Beautiful”. She is not only one of the best makeup artists in the business, she is also a role model for the proper attitude to have. She is so beautiful and a genuinely nice and kind person.
