In this week's Sunday New York Times, makeup artist Tina Turnbow explains how to get perfect cherry-stained lips for fall (a big trend this season):
- Start with a moisturizing lip balm as your base. Turnbow prefers Clark's Botanicals in Madge Mauve (buy it online).
- Line the lips and color them in with a cherry-colored lip pencil. Turnbow suggests Laura Mercier's lip pencil in Luscious Very Berry (buy it online).
- For the face, she keeps it simple with a moisturizing concealer she loves from Koh Gen Do (check it out online, it is pricey but will last forever and you won't need foundation).
- If you need a pop of color on cheeks (I'm naturally rosy-cheeked), you can dot a bit of the lip balm.
