I have wore Lancome Definicils mascara for a long time. I have bought the cheaper stuff, but I always go back to Lancome, it is the best on market!
I wonder why they don’t come up with smaller packaging for mascaras. I’m someone who uses it only occasionally, so I can’t afford to throw out a tube I’ve hardly used in a month. Are there any brands that last longer? And any which might be the smallest tube? Or does this mean that I should be wearing mascara every day simply to finish it?
For years I used Difinicils. Loved it. Then my sister convinced me to do a test. She brought over her brand of mascara (new) right after I had purchased my mascara (which is what spurred her to demand a mascara face off). Hers: Maybelline Collosal Volum Express (yellow tube).
I curled my lashes and applied two coats of each and wore it for the entire day. I took morning and evening pictures with no retouching of makeup during the day. I also added the stipulation of no exercise for that day lest i sweat on it (I had to get something in it for me!).
Verdict? I am now a Maybelline girl. The wand was huge so I could load it right up with mascara, but it did not clump! Second coat went on easily.
I could only feebly reply… “but what about the gift with purchase??” Then quick math (25 bucks v 6 bucks?) Around 60 dollars per year savings just on mascara?
